The Bug

The Bug, a.k.a. Kevin Martin, is a producer of dub, dancehall and dubstep, signed to Ninja Tune.

Some of his music is dark enough to have been labelled as suitable for a Neuromancer future where artificial intelligence and corporations rule the world.

After his primarily ambient albums Tapping the Conversation and Pressure, Martin released a trilogy of albums themed around social unrest and violence in London: 2008’s London Zoo, 2014’s Angels and Devils, and most recently, 2021’s Fire. Many of his songs involve collaborations with grime MCs such as Flowdan, as well as “Fuck a Bitch” in collaboration with Death Grips.
