Twin Shadow, aka George Lewis Jr, started his music career making solo recordings in his Brooklyn bedroom. His music caught the attention of Grizzly Bear bassist Chris Taylor, who not only lent his skills to the project as co-producer but also assisted Twin Shadow with the release of his debut album, Forget.
Fast forward six years, and Eclipse marks George’s third album as Twin Shadow, which has earned outstanding praise from the media. Rolling Stone said, “Eclipse is an album that’s self-assured and unrestrained,” and Entertainment Weekly writes, “Lewis' seductive voice provides irresistible tether.”
After a life-threatening bus accident this past April, which Lewis spoke out about recently on NPR’s All Things Considered, the band is back on the road on their fall tour, The Night Rally Tour, outfitted by motocross company Troy Lee Designs. Lewis most recent release, the Night Rally Mixtape, featuring demos from 2010-2014, is currently available for free download and in an exclusive cassette found only at shows. Twin Shadow recently performed “To The Top” on The Late Late Show with James Corden, which is also featured in the 2015 film Paper Towns.
