Same as this from “Every Ghetto”

Words of a old man with silver hair, in his wheelchair
His eyes were bloody while describin what lies before me
Said evil bitches and jealous men would try to destroy me
It occurred to me, this old nigga’s words couldn’t be realer.

Old heads kicking knowledge.

Gazelles are classic Adidas sneakers:

Fake Gazelles to black Prada = Rags to riches.

Nas alludes to this in “Usual Suspects”

Imagine this, the Nazareth had to get from rags to rich

This makes me think of Drake in “Stay Schemin”

Kobe ‘bout to lose a hundred fifty M’s
Kobe my nigga I hate it had to be him
Bitch you wasn’t with me shooting in the gym

Same logic, she’s the eye candy on a rapper/athletes arm, usually aint got no sense and none of her own money.

This is probably based on an encounter with a footballer’s wife. It’s well documented that Chad Ochocinco:

allegedly cheated on his wife Evelyn Lozada:

What’s not so well known is that SHE is alleged to have cheated on him. Point is she’s a footballer’s wife and it’s possible she could be one of the groupies LB is talking about here

I think what LB tryna say is the same way diamonds stand out against other stones, he will stand out against other rappers.

He ridin' in a topless car, or as Nas would say:

Don’t say my car’s topless, say the titties is out.

He also tryna say his kicks is worth the equivalent of a typical car note.

definitely says ‘cuter than the nigga T-Pain’!!

"Raw Stacy delight" (Game – Jesus Piece) | rejected

Sometimes I wish published songs could only be explained by the actual artists cuz some of you fuck niggas on some bullshit. How does this bitch fit in with the context of the song? Not to mention that’s not even what Common be saying on this track anyway. He says ‘BROADS, THEY SEE THE LIGHT’ which goes better with the rest of the song than what the you explained here. God damn rap genius is full of some damn idiots!

"Raw Stacy delight" (Game – Jesus Piece) | rejected

I think this is so wrong. It sounds to me like Common is saying

‘fuck it i see the light, broads they see the light’ Can’t deny my jesus piece, that’s so Peter like'.

The given explanation doesn’t make any sense at all. Why would he reference Stacy Keibler?

I agree with maddox. Say what you want about the illuminati rhetoric but the fact is there is something bigger than hip hop, indeed bigger than the music industry that is controlling and ultimately dictating how things transpire. To be in the rap game is no walk in the park. Too many rappers have talked about this for it to still be a conspiracy, I mean come on!!!! If you don’t believe then you’re choosing not to. We will probably never know the full extent but the fact is it is real. This song has a much deeper meaning than the face value in my opinion.

"Fighting the fight of my life," (Xzibit – State Of Hip-Hop vs. Xzibit) | pending

I think you got it wrong on this one. The real meaning it seems to me is much deeper. In the rap game, many artists have whistle blown as such, to the ongoings in the music industry period. This would make more sense as to be a rapper, you’re not just fighting the whore that is hip hop, who uses and abuses you then spits you out when she’s done with you, but you’re also fighting the powers that be in the music industry. They don’t give a damn about you. Not to mention the illuminati rhetoric we hear about on a more consistent basis these days from a lot of rappers. With the sole trade so rampant, this would constitute the fight of your life trying stay afloat in an industry inundated with faux rappers who got no shame. Just a suggestion…

"More Mer'" (Xzibit – Enjoy The Night) | pending

I think this is more in line with the reference to ‘breasts’ in the above line. so face + breasts = brrrr!!

"I doubt I'll ever be the same, hallowed be thy name" (DJ Khaled – Hip Hop) | accepted

I believe Nas is saying ‘hollow’ be thy name. This would make more sense as it goes with the line below. You wouldn’t want to kill someone if you hallow them or consider them sacred.

yup agree with all the comments. the original explanation is not accurate at all. Look at the version Nas is talking about in this song versus the one Biggie is talking about in his. While they are both down thoroughly with their men, one has etiquette, her love for the people is deep rooted, isn’t easily swayed by the fame and fortune but is a hard worker and still gets doe. Nas' version is pretty much what I would want in a woman, more so thatn Biggie’s, with all respect.

"[Salaam Remi]" (Nas – Get Down) | pending

So many dope Salaam Remi beats man, and this is one of em. As of late he and J.U.S.T.I.C.E League have added themselves to my top five no particular order. Just super dope beats. Anybody heard the song Hip Hop with Premo and ‘Face? Such a killer track can’t wait for the verified lyrics from Escobar.

"Listen to Jeezy and Hov" (Nas – You Wouldn't Understand) | accepted

yup he said JEEZY !!

bedstyboi hasn't made any comments!
