A play on the saying

The grass is greener on the other side

He’s saying that there’s no better area, that there is an extensive amount of foreclosures here in America.

Many individuals were spoon fed their religion from their parents and later on those same individuals expressed ignorance in various different ways:

Quote from Jiddu Krishnamurti.

Krishnamurti was a philosopher, writer, and speaker who spoke on mostly spiritual matters that coincided with our society today.

Here he’s saying that you got the answers in yourself, that only you know yourself and that you’ve got everything you need to transform your psyche.

I’m posting this so people know FACTS instead of spewing whatever they heard on a late night Ancient Aliens marathon

This is also a piece in the chorus off of Jus Allah’s song White Nightmare

While he admits to plenty of substance abuse in his lyrics there’s reason to believe heroin addiction may be one, but I may be wrong.

In Lightspeed, he says his sister got him addicted to some shit as seen below

For all,saw a lot of tall trees fall
In the name of an addiction my sister taught me to follow
I cracked cleaned up and got the backpack
I swore that I would never go back

He also has a song called Rebecca which is about his sister which yet again talks about addiction, but no heroin. So where do I get the heroin from?

His song, Heroin Music. I don’t think it’s on here because the lyrics are kinda hard to decipher but here’s a link to the song and I’ll put the lyrics up too. This song really pushed me to believe he did heroin. Sorry about the long response, but this is the research that led me to my belief.

Heroin,Heroin
when you shot me at point blank range i knew you loved me
Windy streets have the fire inside their veins and you act like you don’t notice and you can leave your candy covered life at home, the bottom the sea is over, hey, hey, and I won’t even stop to let you hold my broken hand so hold on, hey now, so wrap around my body like a ribbon and expose its hidden rhythms, and prepare to take your dive, Oh yeah yeah, oh ho ho, yeah, mhmh, oh yeah yeah yeah easy, oh ho ho, yeah, yeah yeah, yeah yeah, yeah yeah yeah im speaking hey hey hmm yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah im speaking hey hey hmm…
have you profited from this record? We hope so"

for the sake of the artist’s interpretation i’m pretty sure he didn’t intend to have any double meaning, number 2 is on point but number 1 is iffy

What Cage describes is known as a Blanket Party, which was widely popularized by Stanley Kubrick’s “Full Metal Jacket” which seems to be the inspiration for this line as well as the line:

Child prostitution is rampant in Thailand (due to cultural, economic, and social reasons) to the extent of 800,000 child prostitutes under the age of 18 are sold, sometimes even with government cooperation.

Sabac is addressing the huge sex industry (which exploded during the Vietnam War due to high demand from soldiers) that has lined the pockets of some of scummiest dirtbags on earth.

African kingdoms would go into African tribes to capture slaves to sell to the Portuguese. There are even slaves in Africa today, enslaved by Africans.

I agree with 11197egp, these should be broken down line by line, not verse by verse. Even though it’s a storytelling song there shouldn’t be summaries for a whole verse.

"It's the caffeine, the nicotine, the milligrams of tar" (Atmosphere – Scapegoat) | accepted

They both contain addictive properties, thus being a “scapegoat” in society, though nobody forced one to smoke cigarettes nor did anyone make one drink coffee.

"Empathy is the poor man's cocaine" (Eyedea & Abilities – Burn Fetish) | rejected

“Poor Man’s Cocaine” actually does mean Meth, just saying. Look it up.
