Actually jay-z started in the late 80´s with jaz-o on songs like (Hawaiian sophie)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5G05v-3CME.
“Jay-Z can briefly be heard on several of Jaz-O’s early recordings in the late 1980s and early 1990s, including "The Originators” and “Hawaiian Sophie”. Jay-Z was also involved in and won several battles with rapper LL Cool J in the early ‘90s as part of efforts to get a record deal"
Therefore he has been in the game as long or even longer then Nas and more accuratly like 10-12 years by the time this record was realesed.
Music video for the song:
He doesnt only apply it to himself, he sees his album as the new miseducation: he is educating us. Because “The worry of mothers that don’t recover when baby killed” is common in hood.
“It kinda scary ain’t it” should have a question mark at the end since he is asking the listener
Is any man worth of fame: alot of people are loved before they are famous but hated when they reach the top, Jelaousy if you say so. The point being that noone is only good or evil, we are all mix and we are all the same. Therefore noone or everybody is worth of the fame.
Even thou jay hasnt always been jay, he has done countless songs where he braggs about how many women he can get, when in reality he is married. Or vol 1 that he has admitted was for the pop charts while changing back to street in vol 2.
Pretty hypocritical when jay himself also started in the earlie 90s, didnt dropp his first album until 1996 and by 2000(10 years in to his own career)had only realesed 1 more album then nas.
Nas has had more then two classics.
And to take it even further, inflation is when the prices goes up and you money isnt worth as much. So inflated global ego could mean that the everybody gotten some much bigger ego while there opinion mean less(just like the money) cause China is already ahead.
