Drake is saying she shouldn’t start the “Im over you”-act since they both know they will end up having sex anyway.
That’s for the first 2 lines
The 3rd line is Drake saying though they do have sex every now and again he doesn’t want to deal with her issues, as you would in a serious relationship. “I put you back in your place” would then mean that Drake is not ready for commitment, while she seems to want to pin him down.
Don’t think this has anything to do with the singer, could be taken out in my opninion
@Yaya2000 I wouldn’t say that but it’s definately a pun on Here & Gone
Refers to the line about abusing her trust.
Drakes girlfriend says he’s a shitty guy, and Drake proves it by sleeping around.
concerning the next line this is about Drake not handeling his new found fame, he abuses her trust by sleeping with random girls. These girls are only attracted to his fame/money.
He might be going on off the last line with the “blood diamond” reference.
As far as I know a diamond is a royal stone, (might be a bit off on translation here)
but in that case it would mix in just fine, diamond = royal, blood diamond = royal blood
should say [Hook] after this line (to aviod confusion)
Drake is trying to bring it easy by adding the I think, this way he can always fall back on it if the girl doesn’t feel the same way about him
with a girl that I know refers to one of Drakes randoms, pointing out that he is in fact changing as he mentioned before
