The torch that Eminem is referring to is Mike’s title as the King of Pop. If the torch was passed to Eminem, Eminem would be the King of Rap.
It’s not a very impressive or long verse… so it’s not much of an accomplishment haha.
Also, he’ll be fucking under the covers so the girl can’t tell he’s not using a condom.
Can you explain why it’s important to notice this?
For some reason this part is absent, but when Rick Ross says “All black Double R”, he’s referring to the brief member of the Beastie Boyws (Huge influence to Rick Ross), Double R, who’s known for talent and introducing a more “blinged” style to the Beastie Boys.
Also, note the lack of “I Bet”, when he’s talking about his jewelry. He’s more confident in his swag and materialistic items than the girls he could care less about.
He’s saying even the people that raised him are afraid of him.
…. He’s saying he’s the black Socrates.
I take this as a diss to Tupac as well. Starting from the Dark Knight reference. Tupac died early on, and because of that he is idolized as a rap icon, while Jay-Z is still around and has worked hard all his life. I think that line is criticizing Tupac for getting his legacy the easy way.
Then the “Moral victories is for minor league coaches”. He says “victories” and “league” with extra emphasis on the E, like Tupac does.
Not really a bite. More like a reference/homage.
