@mista_617 you know I thought the same exact thing and it was in the original annotation, but someone came along and deleted it. The fact that Rick Ross is in this song may make some people hesitant to say so
@KARLONBURKETT Kanye West evolves. Each album is different from the rest and creates a new sound for himself. His progression from his soulful, “real” rap as you like to call it was intentional. I also loved his early stuff, but the thing that sets Ye apart is change. With maybe the exception of The College Dropout and Late Registration, Kanye reinvents himself in each of his next records. Instead of sticking to what works he constantly pushes himself to innovate. Yeezus, in my mind, is far from garbage. Though I admit that most of its beauty comes in its production rather than its lyrics. I would love a nice Kanye throwback as much as you, however that’s not how he works. His new music will continue to be different and I like it that way. His WTT counterpart is much less exciting to me because he continues to put out the same sound as he had 10 years ago. I’m still a Jay-Z fan, but in my opinion he is not close to Kanye’s level and it is evidenced in WTT
