I mean there is sooooooooooooooo many rappers these days, soooooooo many quality rappers that i think there are way more rappers better than bronson than worse than bronson is all.

As far as Bronson, i haven’t given him as complete a listen yet but i do listen to so many rappers, and its not just that i listen to “select tracks” or “select projects” the ones i listen to, i have 7000 songs in itunes, and ive heard over 6700 of them all but some Elzhi & Styles P stuff i haven’t gotten around to yet.

Maybe one day as i continue to mow down dude’s discography’s ill get around to him but he hasn’t done enough to impress me yet to the point im like “OH I GOTTA ADD THAT NEW BRONSON TO MY LIBRARY”

And yes, I hold Brooklyn/NY rappers to a much higher pedigree. My city has produced Nas, Rakim, big L, Biggie, Jay Z, AZ, Fabolous, Jadakiss, Busta Rhymes, Cam'ron i can continue, KRS-one, Really i don’t want to make this list any longer to get a point across lol.

As far as budden, I -can- say i’ve listened to him quite a bit. I have all of Slaugtherhouse discography cause of Crooked & Royce. Again being from NY Ortiz & Budden just don’t do it for me. They are outshined on pretty much every collective track, so i think budden has really run out of time for me unles something drastic changes or i just decided to “collect” music.

Mad respect to Ab Soul though, I’m glad he found inspiration with budden’s lyrics and all that but thats not me

I mean I’m a Mets fan afterall… So yeah

But if Bronson isn’t living up to Nas and AZ then who the fuck is? Dude straight SPITS over heavy boom bap every track and sounds more New York than any rapper I’ve heard in the last 5 years honestly. Either way as far as making the XXL list dude’s put out 2 solid albums and mixtapes in the last year along with a shit ton of features that alone makes him worthy of the list in my opinion.

I get your point but there is no one capable of doing what Bronson is doing right now. He’s in his own world, no one is touching him right now. Of course comparing him to a legend that was in his prime will make Bronson seem less than what I’m making of him but you have to look at all the rappers and their respective skills in today’s world. Bronson is a complete a package, projects, skills, image, songs he’s got it all. Plus bear in mindhe started rapping last year. And I don’t mean started putting out projects I mean learnt how to rap. With time he can easily be called a vet or legend. Only dude as technical and capable of doing Bronson is Roc Marciano and he can’t even pull off the image. Blue Chips and Rare Chandeliers are without a doubt top ten projects of the year.

I’m familiar with and have mad respect for every artist you just posted but I mean Bronson’s already worked with Styles P and Joey Bada$$, your previous argument that Bronson isn’t living up to older New York artists applies a hell of a lot more to A$ap Rocky (even though I fuck with his music as a bar for bar MC you have to admit he’s pretty weak) Bottom line if you deny that Bronson can out rap lets say 75% or so of other up and coming rappers and is making moves than you’re just wrong.
