I’m hoping that the whole 3rd eye/spirituality trent dies very soon. I liked when Ab-Soul did it but ever since Pro Era jocked it it’s become straight A1 :basura: |

The whole “third-eye” thing extends far deeper than just hip-hop. The whole “new-age spirituality” bullshit needs to go away. |

@Future_Vandross Ab Soul didnt start “Third Eye” , and you probably like when he did it because thats your fav rapper and you will like anything he does. Pro Era BEEN on this ‘third eye trend’ and others been on it longer than them. |

I’ll admit to not doing any significant research but any good that could’ve come from the movement has now been made unenjoyable for me. As for Ab-Soul being my favorite rapper, c'mon son peep the avy |

Doo Rags aren’t a trend, they’re a hair product. I’m glad non-nappy people aren’t wearing doo rags though. Honestly, the biggest trends that need to go are skinny jeans, extreme sagging and rocking 80’s fashion. |

And 3rd Eye movement as you kids are calling it, has been around for decades. These young rappers did not start it. In fact, they haven’t started anything, they’re just rehashing. |

I don’t see why people hate on Pro Era talking about their 3rd eye and shit, I actually kinda find it interesting. At least their gimmick is something different. |

Breakdancing isn’t a trend, it’s a basic part of Hip Hop. And people still wear Timbs, in fact they’re the preferred boot company for most Hip Hop heads, regardless of era. |

I’ve been researching this stuff since 2006, so I don’t want it to end persay, I just wish only those well informed on the matter reference it. It’s sad that something like this is now a ‘trend’ and people to do it to be ‘cool’, rather than an individual and personal journey to enlightenment. But whatever. But I’m so glad that the whole ‘misogyny and the representation of women as sexual toys’ trend ended! |

A trend I am eager to die out is the Tony Montana references. OT: But I do really want them to remake Scarface for its 30th or 50th birthday, its a good movie but the angles are poor and the ending scene needs a lot of work in terms of prosthetics. |

I like the 3rd eye concept. I’m a fan of both Ab-Soul and Pro Era and I think it’s pretty interesting. At least it’s better than what most rappers are talking about. Also like all of my friends including me own tims and regularly wear them, just sayin. Glad that souja boy has passed on. |

I’m just waiting for the end of the same shitty drums that almost all songs on the radio have these days, idk how to describe it but its been driving me fucking crazy. As for the third eye concept I actually enjoy it, I’ve always been interested in it, though I do hate how it comes out basic and disjointed with misrepresentation at times, seriously at times it sounds like some amateur trying to sound wise. Also does anyone know a great start to journey of enlightenment, as aforementioned I’ve always been interested but I have no idea how to truly begin. |
