Right now Lamar is the closest I would say to being a new Pac, just because he’s the leader of this generation, and like really one of the few to put out deep music and be successful commercially.

But every MCs has a bit of Pac in them, Game, 50 Cent, Eminem, T.I., Lamar, Ja Rule, Kanye, Lupe, etc.

He was a good lyricist but was far from the greatest. Hands down, nothing but respect for Pac but there were and still are rappers who have deeper lyrics.

Lmao you’ll get there @Mike_Mejia. This was like my first forum post back when I stumbled upon the site. I was still ignorant of A LOT of good hip hop back then.

Rap Genius opened my eyes and put me on to some good shit and dope artists. As my horizon was broadened, I’ve since then learned to better appreciate the genre.

People always ask who’s the next 2Pac and when there’s a new rapper that’s very similar to 2Pac, everyone hates on him for stealing Pac’s style. So there can never really be a new 2Pac if everyone hates on artists that try to rap like 2Pac.
