2013 was quite a year for hip hop
Even bigger year for music mogul Rick Rubin AKA hip hop’s santa claus

who contributed to three of the biggest hip hop albums of the year

Kanye West — Yeezus

Jay Z — Magna Carta… Holy Grail

Eminem — Marshall Mathers LP 2

Accolades:
Yeezus:
received rave reviews from music critics
debuted at number one in 31 countries
On August 12, 2013, the album was certified Gold

Magna Carta… Holy Grail:
received generally mixed reviews from music critics
Debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and sold 528,000 copies in its first week
By September 2, 2013, was certified 2x Platinum

Marshall Mathers LP 2:
received generally positive reviews from music critics
Released on Nov. 5, industry sources forecast the new album to sell between 700,000 and 750,000 copies by the end of the tracking week on Sunday, Nov. 10.

so which album had the biggest Rubin influnce?
Which album do you think he had the most fun working on?

Eh…this is nothing for Rubin. Adele’s 21 has probably still making him more money than these albums combined will.

November 9th, 2013

Rick Rubin didn’t do shit for MCHG, Jay Z invited him to listen to it and he filmed it to make it look like Rubin worked on it as a promotional tool, btw MCHG was only a hard 5 light six, dont six how you fucked with it.

Yeezus was the best, MMLP2 was ok.

Yeezus because before Rubin it was over 3 hours of rambling nonsense, not the compact and genius 40 min masterpiece we all know and some of us love today…
