Tyler, The Creator.

Reason: He’s a fuckin' unicorn… And because he’s one of the many few artists I know that can talk about rape and still love someone.

Aesop Rock

Hes got a mad mans flow and can paint a picture with the most abstract lyrical style ever seen in hip hop.

Cudder. I feel like I can relate to him the most.

I first heard him in 9th grade and A LOT of people said he sucked that, that his style was wack, etc. and now everyone’s on his dick.

I’ve said this before, but mine would have to be Madchild. For one, he actually knows how to make punchlines. Yes, he tends to stick to bragging about his skills, but he actually has skills to back it up. The persona he puts on, that of a madman, really makes him intriguing. Plus, the fact that he’s a battle rapper that not only can write a decent song, but construct both a good hook and album helps a lot. I also love his music videos. His voice is also pretty catchy and completes his image. Lastly, anyone that can go off of drugs and still maintain his artistic capability (looking at you, Eminem…) gets an A+ in my book.

I would have to say Nas because of his ability to spit intelligent and deep rhymes and how he tells a story in such a clever way.

I think a distinction needs to be made. “Favorite” rapper vs. “Who I think is the best rapper” are two totally different things. You have to break down “best” rapper by categories, “favorite” rapper is just a matter of opinion and preference. My “favorite” rapper right now is Kendrick Lamar, dope flow, potent lyrics, good hooks, great image, great backstory, he’s just dope to me.

Lupe Fiasco

IMO he’s one of the best lyricists ever

My favorite rapper is T.I. because I enjoy his music more than I enjoy anyone else’s music.

Andre 3000 of OutKast. He’s got lines that usually no other rapper has said, or is just afraid to say and says something in about 4 lines what someone can make an entire song about. He’s not afraid to be different and experiment or be seen as weird in comparison to other hip hop artists. His flow, delivery, lyrical content, he could outrap ANYONE that goes against him and outshine them with little to no effort. A lot of people like to point out how humble a certain rapper is; Andre is worth at least $45 million and rarely (if ever) devotes ANY time to rap about how much he’s worth. He doesn’t waste a single bar in any song he makes, and his unpredictability is just something that makes him interesting. The songs he makes with Big Boi are always timeless.

Lupe Fiasco- because he is a dope rapper and he make dope songs plus he is one of a kind

Of all time?

Kanye West, Jay-Z or The Notorious B.I.G. Jay & Big got the hits, the raw records, and I can listen to their material all day without getting bored. And I love their smooth flow and that New York sound.

Kanye just knows how to make good music. (no pun intended) He can do stuff nobody else. He has a lot of soul in everything he does and I love hearing his opinion on things in his albums.

Right now?

Pusha T or J. Cole.

Pusha T’s music scares the shit out of me it’s so good sometimes. It’s just different than anybody else in hip hop today.

Cole is the rapper I connect with his lyrics more than anyone I’ve ever listened to in an genre. All his projects are ones I listen to regularly.
