I never thought I’d even make it this far, honestly. What everyone has heard are the first things I’ve put thought to and written/recorded. The competitive push is just an aide for motivation.

i personally think psy and zen will be a hard match to judge

My faves are Zen, Isaiah, and Lock. That is all.

Isaiah is dope for sure, but he has two glaringly obvious punch-ins in his verse. With Maestro coming as nice as he did, that’s enough for me to give the nod to Kiid. (No diss to Isaiah intended).

Efemjay, only artists that record on a regular basis will know that a punch-in is. Most of the guys here aren’t well-versed in recording jargon, and are recording on some truly unorthodox shit. Ease up, dawg.

Socrates isn’t some kind of secret, you learn about that guy in like middle school. Psyonik seems like a smart dude, I’d be surprised if he didn’t know about Socrates. In fact, I’d be surprised if most people on this site didn’t know at least something about Socrates. Stop being so arrogant man, it’s not making you any friends on this site.

Socrates isn’t a secret. Everybody knows he was a philospher, but they don’t know what he’s done or what he’s philosophised. On top of that, it’s been used so much. Just like Dalai Lama. Stop being so unoriginal.

On a side note, don’t assume I’m frustrated because Psyonik won, and I’m trying to be a prick. Psyonik won. He had the better verses. That’s no secret either.

Search “Socrates rap lyrics” on google, and you get over 7 MILLION results. That’s forgetting Saukrates, the rapper.

Anybody who mentions Socrates in a form that is alluding to their artistic skill with hip hop lyricism DOESN’T know shit about Socrates, unless they’re writing child-friendly rap music. Which they’re not.

I also dissed the judges quite a bit this round, which people would expect to be a deciding factor, but too be honest, I know it went over their heads.

I remember first round how I got feedback on my “punchlines” when I had one punchline, and just a ton of multi-syllable rhyme lines for the rest. A couple of these judges don’t know what they’re doing. A couple.

AyGray — Did you peep my verse? I say a lot of the same things you’re saying in this post. Also, I think there are some “dummy accounts” at work here with these votes. I’ve seen a few huge vote swings in short periods while certain people were particularly active on the forums.
