Have yall heard Drake’s new track?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jg2iF96ajQ Drake’s obsession with Aaliyah has gone too far. To be honest, this sounds nothing like a song she would be on. I wish she was still alive so she could flame Drake and tell him that she’s not into creepy homosexuals. That’s just my opinion tho…

i’m surprised it took him to disrespect the dead for niggas to realize he’s gay.

yea your very right the dead isn’t respected any more

i love tupac but after UTEOT it went downhill.

I understand he was tryna do a tribute to Aaliyah but, if you’re gonna do a tribute to someone as wonderful as her ATLEAST MAKE IT DECENT

^ It’s the thought that counts

so if i think about him catching aids, will it come true? apparently it’s not just the thought that counts.

Meh, I like it.

It is the thought that counts. Drakes a fan and makes a tribute. How are you going to tell him not to do it unless if it’s going to be good? Why does it need to be good? It’s not for you, it’s for her. If you don’t like it then don’t listen, and certainly dont get all outraged over it and pretend like you give 2 shits about aaliyah’s legacy. for the last time: she’s no whitney. Calm yourself.

i could piss on her grave /corpse whatever shows up first . i just don’t like gay rappers

off topic: SDVG how the hell do you have -1200 IQ??

why is everyone calling him gay? I feel like I missed something.

@MaxiPerasso: its because I dont think illmatic is the greatest album of all time and Nas isn’t the greatest rapper of all time

@SDVG damn, I should have -5000 then

nas is wack and illmatic aint the best, it’s aight

“illmatic aint the best, it’s aight”

“it’s aight”

I agree that he’s gone too far. If you’re going to release something posthumously in honor of somebody who has passed it would help if it did justice to the artist. I don’t think he hit that yet and it seems like he’s just trying to stay relevant since there is a lot of people still into Aaliyah (ie remixes and shit)… Kind of like how he and rhi made that cover of Gil Scott Heron, i’m just not down…

^ Right. I just feel that any tribute for her should be done by Timbaland or Missy Elliot.

Drake went to far once he started singing.
That song is unlistenable

I love this beat. And Drake snapped. I don’t quite get the hate. Feels like a mediocre song, at worst.

WE NEED TO STOP HIM

How has he gone “too” far?

You do realize that everything Drake dedicates to Aaliyah is by his utmost respect and love for her music

This thread is a joke, is every artist that uses someone else beat also a obsessed maniac?

Not even a Drake fan, but you haters are ridiculous.

rap fans never have anything to talk about other than what they hate, what they dislike. x is wack, y fell off. it’s honestly just getting me down. I struggle to relate to dudes in a culture I consider myself a part of, because I actually like the music.

but whatever. boost your backpacker cred, guys. go fer it.

lets not forget the corny tattoo’s he has of Aaliyah.

shaney boy, im sorry you into pretty niggas. dont flame (lol) a nigga for it

Is it fair to say Drake has developed borderline symptoms to necrophilia?

Just out of curiosity, what does sdvg think is the GOAT album?

it’s not only fair but accurate SlUMS.

Along with the already known Aaliyah face tattoo he has, he got her birthday tattooed also.
http://gossiponthis.com/2012/08/06/drake-gets-another-aaliyah-tattoo-releases-posthumous-collaboration-enough-said/

Another thread about how drake is so gay and how only missy and timbaland should do the production. I mean fuck it’s getting old already.

He’s obsessed with a female but you still call him gay?..
Do you see a problem here?

Her birthday or his hometown’s area code?

I don’t think he’s doing her justice and on top of that her family isn’t behind this project

using someone else’s beats does not equal releasing a dead artist’s album posthumously.

funny that other people’s opinions on music gets ppl worked up like that…. you’re not going to relate to everybody in hip hop culture especially today in 2012- that would be ridiculous.

anybody know where i can fix my backpack.. thx

We’re nobody to judge whether or not the song did Aaliyah justice, only she or her family can do that.

It’s two tattoo’s in one. The toronto area code (416) and Aaliyah’s birthday which is 1/16. If you noticed that the 4 isn’t completely shaded

The problem with this is Aaliyah didn’t have a personal relationship with Drake. So who’s he to come in and try to make an posthumous album? I mean, if he made a song for her that’d be cool (Remember Blow My High? “RIP Aaliyah, RIP…”) but to actually be using her voice on a song? Without consulting the family? Or artists that were actually close to her? That’s disrespect right there.

this guy is just a deranged stan. Idk why his people are letting him do this, because the idea itself is whack. I refuse to listen to this shit for the sole fact it’s already an insult to Aaliyah & her family.

Lol, biggest stan ever

Oh my god… it’s not even funny anymore, it’s just sad. Drake needs help guys… like serious help…

…..Wow, this sucks.

If you have someone’s face tattooed on you and they’re not a family member or a spouse, you’re crazy and need help.

According to him, he has the families consent.http://www.worldstarhiphop.com/videos/video.php?v=wshhL1EEP00nj9V7wJd5

Wait…when did people start caring about Aaliyah or her “legacy”?

When Drake took it upon himself to produce a posthumous Aaliyah album.

when it became relevant
