1. Silent Hill 2 – Finest example of psychological horror available, period.
2. Fallout: New Vegas – Upgrade from Fallout 3, allowed some free will in actually choosing factions through gameplay or taking over Vegas for yourself, honestly only experienced 2 bugs in my 5 playthroughs.
3. Shadow of the Colossus – I shouldn’t even have to explain this shit.
4. Spec Ops: The Line – Much as I could be called out on this, it’s still the, if not one of the finest examples of a self-aware game working as satire on it’s genre with one of the most intoxicating stories I’ve ever played
5. Max Payne – Dated but the narrative also plays the self-aware card halfway in once Max starts noticing how far he’s going for revenge.
6. Diablo – Clickclickclickclickclickclickclickclick, many a sleepless night.
7. The Walking Dead – Fuck Kenny though.
8. Killing Floor – Co-op zombie killing on custom servers with 80+ different weapons, 10+ different classes, AND this shit’s got custom maps with one even being The Hive from the Resident Evil movie? What the fuck else could you want?
9. Jet Set Radio Future – Only reason Getting Up lost was because this gameplay was a bit less serious and more fun, shit’s like Tony Hawk with roller skates & graffiti.
10. Mass Effect 2 – That perfect middle-ground in the series where you can go back and the controls aren’t too dated, you’re not fucking around with your inventory every 2 seconds and the story actually improves as well as earning personal context with your crew and if you do everything right THE ENDING ISN’T DISAPPOINTING.

Otherwise honorable mentions to Doom, Portal 2, Metal Gear Solid as a series entirely, NBA Street Vol. 2, Bioshock, Deus Ex as well as Human Revolution, Condemned, Resident Evil 4, GTASA, Unreal Tournament, Halo 3 & the likes.

• The Last of Us – Easily my favorite ps3 game, I felt like the characters were amazing and Ellie was just a badass

• Crash Bandicoot (series) – It’s just one of those games that I grew up with, I loved playing that shit

• Jak and Daxter (series) – See above

• Sly Racoon (series) – See above once again ahah

• Kya: Dark Lineage – I just remember playing this game a lot when I was at my grandma’s house, good times (so, same as above I guess)

• Uncharted (series) – It’s a pretty good series, good Tomb Raider x Indiana Jones feel to it, Uncharted 2 was the best one

• Borderlands (series) – It’s just plain fun, the story isn’t that great nor do they focus on it that much but getting that boss kill and finally getting that one rare shield or gun you wanted feels great
  The humor on it is pretty cool and claptrap is a retard, the good kind

• NBA 2K12 – I spend hours and hours playing that game, it’s pretty cool

• The Walking Dead – Feels.

• Assassin’s Creed (first two, three games) – I only played the first three but I feel like they started to overdo it, no need to release that many games that fast
  The concept behind the games is pretty cool and they way they mixed history in it was dope as well
