What was your best experience with live music? (Back to The Forum)

Of all the concerts I’ve seen, a handful of artists stand above the rest.

Jay-Z:
I’d say the best Hov show I saw was either the first show in Yankee Stadium or just recently at the Made in America Festival.
I’m going to the first show at the Barclays Center, so I hope he pulls out all the stops.

Kanye:
Kanye’s “Glow In The Dark Tour” at MSG was probably the best performance from an aesthetic sense. It was like watching this theatrical Broadway-esque sonic adventure.

Lupe:
Best energy. I same him in college pre-Lasers.

Machine Gun Kelly:
The most fun I’ve had at a performance, hands down.

Wiz Khalifa:
Wiz puts on a great show. His music has this incredible ambiance to it that makes it perfect for outdoor venues.

Frank Ocean:
This dude…was fucking incredible. Saw him at Terminal 5 a few weeks after the album release. You can tell he has a special relationship with New York.

Anyway, post your favorite/best live music experience(s)

Odd Future

I saw them at Made in America as well. Maybe it just wasnt for me

maybe it’s just nostalgia, but nothing has quite matched my first reel big fish concert, which was also my first concert. including other reel big fish concerts.

I went home feeling grosser and sweatier than any other one time in my life, but god it was worth it.

Rock The Bells 2010. Saw Tribe, Wutang, KRS-One, Lauyrn Hill was ehh but nice. One of the best days of my life. Other honorable mentions are Method Man solo, Lupe, and Atmosphere

edm concerts are the best the atmosphere is just insane, the girls t compare

best event edc 2010 that shit was INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i had showed up super early cause i knew the floor would reach capacity so i made my way to the coliseum floor, and i got to witness this madness from like five feet away, too bad we will never be able to party there like that again…. :(

Still haven’t went to one

Seen Yelawolf twice (will be 3 times in November) and his shows are always excellent, first time was the Roots Picnic, he held the mic down to me to rap a part then he jumped into the crowd and got thrown onto me, shit was crazy
Seen Lupe on the Lasers Tour, he had a live band (don’t like when rappers do that, usually doesn’t sound good) but they pulled it off, it was a decent show
Seen Mac Miller at the Roots Picnic, it was kinda gay
Didn’t get to see Nas or The Roots at the Picnic to well cause I was allllll the way in the back
Seen Motley Crue in like…07 or 08, they put on a good show

I honestly don’t think Eminem is that great but his concert was phenomenal. There was this huge vibe and so much energy, it was so sick. Common was also sweet especially when he freestyled.

Actually, I love rappers with live bands. When done right, it sounds amazing

El-P/Killer Mike in ATL. Big Boi came out for a bit. Incredible show.

Odd Future like two weeks ago. Everything that always bothered me about their music and personalities made so much sense live. Really grew an appreciation for them. I’m about to see A$AP Mob, Danny Brown, and Schoolboy Q at a small place. Should be dope.

Cudi will always be my fav live show, but my first rap concert is definitely a close second. I saw Tabi Bonney, John Forte, K'Naan and Wale in Boston, it was a great show!

Wu-Tang Clan- it’s hard not to get down with a group you know all the lyrics. The show was live. Nobody rhymes with heart like the RZA. He did some cuts off Bobby Digital to open, fighting down front, he was rhymin like he was gonna die if he didn’t give it all he had. Meth did all of Dirts parts except Shimmy and BK Zoo. I had an awesome time. Everybody was killin it. Rae came hard and then Ghost came out with the championship belt, the Wally’s and two bad females. GZA Deck Masta Killa StreetLife Killarmy Cappadonna UGod everybody ripped it

OutKast, Ludacris, Dungeon Family- I wasn’t a fan of Luda till I seen him live. Little guy,big mouth. Wats your fantasy was blowing up. Dude ripped it. He basically did his whole 1st album. Kast was off the chain. 3000 is one energetic son of a gun. 100% the whole time. I loved the Wu show but Kast keep it jumpin like kangaroos. That whole show was bangin. The women sun! Wu tang was some thug biz ness but the freaks come out to that Kast. The only bad part is Greensboro coliseum sound was boo boo.

Seeing Kanye for the first time with the Glow In The Dark Tour was amazing just because of how well it was done as a show.

Seeing Drake, A$AP Rocky, and Kendrick Lamar at UC Davis was also a really fun concert to go to. Soooooo many chicks at a Drizzy concert.

But my absolute greatest experience was seeing The Throne this past summer. Amazing.

Yea I saw the WTT tour at MSG last September. The whole set was some out of this world shit.
“New Day” was heartfelt, Jay and Ye’s oldies were great and even niggas in Paris x 3 wasnt bad haha

^ honestly when they did Otis though, and came out from behind the flag i felt like i was in a movie.
