What was your first rap CD? (Back to The Forum)

I just bought my second today. Its Rakim’s Seventh Seal. Haven’t got a chance to listen to it tonight. My first was Eminem’s MMLP(Clean, unfortunately) a few years ago.

I believe it was Tech N9ne — Angehellic. I was like 6 lol. It’s either that or Iceberg (Ice T) — Freedom Of Speech But Watch What You Say on cassette. For the longest fucking time I was convinced that Ice T and Iceberg were two different rappers.. lol.

Lol! Iceberg is a great album.

Illmatic and Stillmatic

I haven’t bought a album before this and this was a couple of months ago.

College Dropout…I was 6

Straight Outta Compton

The first rap CD I ever heard was 2pac Greatest Hits

The first rap album I ever bought was Immortal Technique’s Rev. Vol. 1

Real Talk, Fabolous. I loved the “Tit 4 Tat” beat even though I had no idea who produced it (The Neptunes).

First two I bought (at the same time) were Stankonia and Word of Mouf… yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah

The Cool and Illmatic

I got Food & Liquor at a second hand store, which is funny because I was looking at the music section thinking, “if only I see some Lupe” and bam I see F&L for $6

Nastradamus, actually. Not the best album in the world, but still. My second album was Black On Both Sides, if I remember correctly. Got it from my cousin´s boyfriend.

Damn, I didn’t have my first CD until I was like 14. I listened to all my uncle’s classic shit before then.
