This is the major levee that broke during Hurricane Katrina, flooding and decimating the Lower Ninth Ward neighborhood on the east side of the levee. The 17th Street Canal Levee also failed on the other side of town. Now we know that not only can you never trust a ho, you can also never trust the Army Corps of Engineers
