Ever wonder what it takes to get a nickname? Usually your friends come up with it for you. Maybe your parents did. Often times, you receive a nickname because of something you did or didn’t do for that matter (insert nicknames for the college virgin). Then there are those rare occasions of self-proclaimed nicknames — nicknames that people give to themselves for them to refer to in the third person and for others to refer to them by.

Nicknames are common place in the rap game. Rappers often have many nicknames. The nicknames I’m referring to specifically though are those that end in -izzle, -izzy, and -eezy. Only a select few hail by this sort of a nickname. What are the credentials for a nickname of this stature you ask? Until the World receives an answer from the nickname beholders themselves, let’s take this time to ponder these nicknames, the beholders, and their credentials or similarities. The Conclusion
Unfortunately, there isn’t much of a conclusion here. No criteria matched up for these beholders. I strongly believed the ethnicity question would be a BINGO, but Drizzy is half white. In addition, his real name is Aubrey, which makes things even more complicated.

Anyway, although the criteria didn’t match perfectly, we could make a few assumptions for the qualifications of the -eezy, -izzy, and -izzle nicknames:
– You need to be worth at least $10 mil
– You need to have at least one #1 album
– You need to have at least one #1 single
– You don’t need to bang Amber Rose (even though there is a good chance you can)
– You don’t need a Grammy
