The only thing that will satisfy you is Louie bags and you can’t even afford them on your own. That’s a recipe for disaster… or a gold digger.

He had to break in the game, just to lock it right back up. With him at the top, of course.

Cole’s saying to stop trying to match other’s materialistic needs. Middle class people who Louie Vutton “hunt” are not ingredients for success. Success comes first, THEN come Louie bags, silly girl.

She got a tattoo her father didn’t approve of (honestly what father is supportive of a tramp stamp) and when he finally saw it he kicked her out.

After doing some hard work, being sore is a good thing. Pain makes the hate go away, as days go by.

Sounds like a Kanye move if you ask me. Dude could make 200,000 and still spend 100 racks on a Jesus Piece.

Certainly a stretch, but I could see this line being a bite at Kanye. Previously in the verse Cole says “Niggas can’t front on the flows you got/but every fucking line about how much dough you got.” While this fits a lot of rappers, it specifcally reminds me of Yeezy’s new music (Yeezus, in particular.) “High off of power” is the line that convinced me this could be about Ye, considering one of his most popular songs is in fact titled ‘Power.’

“Just afraid of change” is a double entendre, first the obvious cliche of being afraid of things being different (in this case, rappers who have been successful in the past rapping about nothing don’t want change) and the second, change is another word for coin currency, which rich folk probably hate to carry around.

"They gave me 10 Days off / That's an awful lot" (Chance The Rapper – 22 Offs) | accepted

Awful has the same phoenetics at the beggining as the word off, the general theme of the song.

"Having a white cop beat me while he offers me squares" (Chance The Rapper – 22 Offs) | accepted

Being offered a square is common for people who are being interrogated, as Chance would if the Police picked him up for smoking dope.

"Coughing out blood / Dropping weight / Like I lost an ounce" (Chance The Rapper – Long Time) | accepted

Double entendre. An ounce is considered “weight” because it’s a considerable amount of weed. If you drop an ounce with out noticing, you might lose it.

"Miss high profile caught you shopping on Canal / I guess ..." (J. Cole – Losing My Balance) | pending

Fake nails, fake hair, fake smile. Her materialism doesn’t make her happy.

"Fuck ya beats nigga I produce my own albums" (J. Cole – Get Free Coleworld) | accepted

Ironic because the vegetable, a beat, would be considered “produce” or found in the produce section of a grocery store. Very clever double entendre.

"I made it to the rack, even though they tried to box me out" (J. Cole – Sideline Story) | accepted

Rack could be a metaphor for the basketball reference later in the line, it also could be a metaphor for the shelves of a store, this being his debut album. Triple entendre?

"Got a quarter pound of purp an eigth of gin and half my f..." (Big Sean – Once Bitten, Twice Shy) | pending

A quarter, an eighth, and half are all fractions. Very clever.
