I really like Nas, The Notorious BIG, the whole of the Wu Tang Clan especially Ghostface Killah, Raekwon and Inspectah Deck, Mobb Deep, MF DOOM (and King Gheedorah and Viktor Vaughn and Madvillain), AZ, Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Saigon, Elzhi, OutKast, Black Moon, Common, Jeru the Damaja, Cannibal Ox (especially Vordul), Aesop Rock, Company Flow (especially El-P), Juggaknots, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, A Tribe Called Quest. Basically good old school, “alternative” (whatever that means) and hardcore hip-hop.
