Growing up in Compton around drugs, violence, etc. is hard for a young child to get his head around especially since Kendrick mentions his age in this song in 10, his brother is even younger than that and is forced to live in constant terror.

Disregard what he’s saying because he’s obviusly influenced by some “legal” substances now the marijuana has been legalized in some areas.

Vic’ll kill anyone who disses him on a youtube video, but he won’t do it himself, he’ll hire some mercenaries because he’s on his pacifist shit. Notice how his tone switches from aggressive to soft as he transitions between these two lines. Furthermore, Youtube channels get *hits, but Vic switches it up by saying he’ll be the one ‘putting a hit’ on the commenter.

"Baby, I'm just digging in your gushy for the sweet spot /..." (Isaiah Rashad – Ronnie Drake) | rejected

It sounds like he’s saying “Imma beat DOT”, as in Kendrick Lamar’s former stage name, K. Dot. He wants to achieve a higher status than Kendrick himself.

"My power, my pleasure, my pain" (Seal – Kiss From a Rose) | rejected

OMG No this ninja didn’t.

"Get caught up in the hype, your career is for a night" (Isaiah Rashad – Shot U Down) | rejected

It sounds like he says “fortnight”, which is 2 weeks. Pretty decent approximation for length of a one hit wonder.

"When you wake up with no make up / You try hiding your fa..." (Backstreet Boys – Love Somebody) | pending

Colin Munroe*, Griffin. Caught you out here slipping lol.

"Yuugh" (Kanye West – Mercy) | pending

Yeaugh is how I spell. Yeah + Ugh = Yeaugh.

"And I got numbers on the back of my shit" (Kanye West – Pusha T Listening Party Visionary Stream of Consciousness) | accepted

Kanye’s basically calling out all the niggas making their own fake Pyrex shirts.

"All the niggas tryna extend they t-shirts, tryna throw nu..." (Kanye West – Pusha T Listening Party Visionary Stream of Consciousness) | rejected

What cost-effective minded person would actually spend $100 to $225 dollars or more on Pyrex Vision though?

He’s probably talking about the movie “Soul Men”, starring Bernie Mac & Sam Jackson & Affion Crockett, where Affion’s character samples Bernie’s bassline.
