About Chase Atlantic

Chase Atlantic is an Australian pop band, which consists of main vocalist Mitchel Cave, Clinton Cave, and Christian Anthony, as well as their tourmates: drummer Jesse Boyle and bassist Patrick Wilde.

The trio is known to write and produce all music together with promotional assistance from Fearless Records and graphic design led by Clinton Cave. He also acts as an arranger of Mitchel Cave and Christian Anthony’s work. Their music is known for dark, alternative R&B, rap, pop, and indie rock influences.

Initially, the band formed in 2011 and released two EPs: Dalliance (2014) and Nostalgia (2015). They were first to sign to MDDN, a management company owned by brothers and rock artists from Good Charlotte.

Benji & Joel Madden stated:

We are extremely proud to be working with Chase Atlantic, not only here at home in America, but also in our second home, Australia. They continue to impress us with their work ethic, their vision, and their ability to write, produce, and record all their own music. We can’t wait for music fans around the world to hear Chase Atlantic!

Later in 2016, Chase Atlantic signed to Warner Bros. and moved to Los Angeles, California to record. In 2017, the release of three subsequent EPs followed, Part One, Part Two, and Part Three, which spawned singles such as “Church” and “Into It”. On October 4th, 2017, they released their self-titled, debut album.

Shortly after joining the 2018 Vans Warped Tour, the band left Warner Brothers. Clinton was quoted in Rocksound Issue 243:

We actually walked away from our record label a month ago, we’re independent again, and it feels a bit like going back to where we were before – except we have a fanbase and all this support now.

On January 25, 2019, they released their first post-debut EP, the trap-heavy DON’T TRY THIS, recorded, written, and produced while on the road, through MDDN once again.

On June 28, 2019, they released their retro, astronaut-sampling sophomore studio album PHASES, recorded shortly after DON’T TRY THIS once they were back home. PHASES earned the band their first Top 10, reaching #6 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart.

On December 2, 2019, they released a previously forgotten EP from their 2016 era of pop-alternative music known as Paradise complete with a merch drop, featuring stand-out track “Slow Down” – a CD rip from 2018 garnered millions of views on YouTube.

On August 14, 2020, they released “OUT THE ROOF”, the first single for their third studio album BEAUTY IN DEATH. On October 8th, 2020, they followed with a second promotional track entitled “MOLLY.” On January 29th, 2021, they released “SLIDE” – then, less than a month later, the final single “EMPTY” came out.

On March 5, 2021, Chase Atlantic published their third studio album BEAUTY IN DEATH. Christian Anthony has explained that the title references the COVID-19 pandemic, emphasizing the fragility of life and mortality the world was faced with daily. While he admits the concepts of beauty and death are juxtaposed, he says that, “a flower losing its petals […] can still have that beauty to it.”
