Isn’t this the entire American history 101 experience? We killed the natives out and live on their land, even as we continue using their words such as “Manhattan”. We are hell bent against keeping the Mexican’s from crossing the border even though we’ve appropriated some of their culture and love their food. This nation was built on the bodies of Blacks but Blacks are still at a great disadvantage across the educational, health, economic, prison system boards. The outsider’s continue to occupy other’s space like it’s been theirs from the beginning.

Don’t ever for once underestimate the Black people you pass in your daily life.

Black men do not have the privilege of being angry in this white suprematist society. After the 400+ years of fuckshit that we have had to continuously endure, we’re expected to #powerthrough and take it on the chin. Am I angry? Of course. But any angry Black man (some of your best Black friends are angry, you just won’t ever know) who knows how to play the game will play shit off in public, because they know how detrimental the stigma of being angry, Black and male in America, has always been. Being the only Black male speaker in a room which was 99.99% white, I had to down play my anger.

I’m talking about Hot 97 and Ebro Darden. We had some drinks a few months ago talking shit about music, culture and such.

I wrote this in to share the humanity of Black men. We do the sme mundane shit white people do. It’s not the stereotypical guns, kush and ho shit. We have wives, and shopping lists and go to fancy places to cop our basic goods too.

From the famous Kia car commercial where they’re selling the cars over the Black Sheep hit “The Choice Is Yours”.

The first form of rap I ever heard was a recording of The Cold Crush Brothers vs. The Fantastic Five MCs, recorded on July 3rd, 1981. The consensus was that the Fantastic Five won the battle, but the way the Cold Crush melodically performed their routines, the way their lead mc Grand Master Caz spit, they were the true winners to me. More people from that era remember The Cold Crush over The Fantastic Five. The battle was so epic that it was loosely recreated in the seminal film ‘Wild Style’. Later on, Big Bank Hank stole Caz' rhymes and used them in the Sugar Hill Gang’s “Rapper’s Delight”. In essence, Big Bank Hank was the original “sucker mc”.

“Just” = Just Blaze. As a team member of The Combat Jack Show, I’m just happy that my dude got a BIG shout out from Jay Z. No major annotation, just proud of my dude is all. Ok. Bye now.

Ye is Kanye who is now a millonaire too. Yo I’m pretty sure Cam is Cam'Ron, seeing as how Camp Lo was never signed to the Roc and never affiliated with Hov.

Which part of Camp Lo made millions?

October 2nd, 2013

I’m sure the way these guys sign eachother, all those Dipset guys were under Cam'ron.

Wikipedia says Cam'ron sold Juelz Santana’s contract to Def Jam for two million….for example.

New York native Ferris Bueller is indeed a friend of Kanye West. Ferris curated Kanye’s critically acclaimed mixtape ‘Ferris Bueller & Plain Pat present Kanye West Behind the Beats’. Kanye also mentions him on “Gotta Have It” off the Jay-Z collaborated album “[Kanye:] I'ma need a day off, I think I’ll call Ferris up [Jay-Z:] Bueller had a Mueller, but I switched it for a Miele ‘Cause I’m richer, …” Ferris is named after one of the greatest movies of all time

This was a response to a video roundtable featured on AlLindstrom.com (http://bit.ly/sPHKIc) in December 2011 in which I questioned whether Pusha T could stand alone without the support of his brother Malice (No Malice). I had (have) high expectations for Pusha and felt he hadn’t met them in 2011. Nonetheless, I remain a true fan of his and am always looking for him to win.
