Normandie 116

Normandie is a Swedish band focusing on post-hardcore/alternative rock. Their earlier works were closer to metalcore, such as their first EP, Normandie that was released in 2013. In March 2016, they released their first full-length album Inguz with inVogue Records, which immediately made its way to the Billboard charts.

An extended version of Inguz called Inguz (Gold Edition) was released on April 13th, 2018. It features altered acoustic versions and live studio versions of some Inguz songs.

On October 26th, 2018, they released White Flag, their second studio album, which received a good media appreciation and allowed Normandie to step to another level. They even had the opportunity to tour across Europe as headliners of their White Flag Tour along with Led By Lanterns and Sun Arcana.

As music lovers, they released new versions of some songs off White Flag in White Flag (Reimagined), which was an acoustic / electronic release. To go further, they released White Flag (Live Sessions), which features live versions of White Flag and Enough.

In 2020, they announced they were working on Dark and Beautiful Secrets, their third studio album. According to singer Philip Strand, D&BS is “the most intimate Normandie’s album to date”. They released five singles off the album before releasing it on February 19th, 2021. D&BS seems to put Normandie even higher : every singles they released broke Normandie’s records for most streams in a day, proving that the public was impatient about hearing the whole album.

Now they are waiting to support their new baby on tour across Europe with Thousand Below and Captives. They have been forced to postponed every dates because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
