Growing up in Palestine with an American background, Lubany had a special upbringing and introduction to music, performing alongside great musicians such as Peter Yarrow and Bobby McFerrin, and in front of President Obama, the Pope, and many other notable public figures. In addition to years of singing and performance experience, she grew up writing songs and honing her craft and knowledge about the music industry.
