Famous people get free clothes all the time, because it’s basically an endorsement for the clothing companies.

More importantly though, Yelawolf is good friends with Travis Barker, the drummer for Blink 182, and founder of Famous Stars & Straps. The two released an EP together, called Psycho White.

Yela has his only line of clothes at Famous called Country Fresh.

The mixtape art is inspired by the 1995 American drama film, KIDS, written by Harmony Korine (Spring Breakers) and directed by Larry Clark.

The plot of the movie can be described by one word, radical. The plot centers around the normal day of a group of kids as they travel around New York City, skating, drinking, smoking, and deflowering virgins.

Mac used the movie as inspiration for his mixtape, you can acknowledge him using sound-bytes from the cinema throughout the project.

This is sampled from Rose Royce’s song “Love Don’t Live Here Anymore”.

The hook sets the tone for the song, the theme is about heartless parents who set their kids up for failure. Love doesn’t live there anymore.

Las Vegas is a city in Nevada. It isn’t recognized as a hub of hip hop (the big 3 being New York, L.A., and Atlanta). There aren’t many big rap stars to come out of Vegas, so it might be a little weird to some people to see a XXL Freshmen from there.

An inauguration is when a political leader takes office.
Dizzy likens his entrance into XXL’s Freshman Class of 2013 as the marker to him taking over the rap game.

Continuing with the inauguration metaphor, Dizzy likens a political debate to people/critics debating on whether or not he should have made the Class of 2013.

This is Dizzy’s freestyle for the annual XXL Freshmen Class of 2013. The XXL Freshmen class has been an annual event in which XXL Magazine picks out the 10 hottest/best MC’s in the game currently. It’s a big deal.

There’s a basketball metaphor, which links Dizzy being in the top half of the freshmen class, and in basketball, the starting 5 players of the game are usually the best players.

Reference to the group N.W.A.

Back in the day, groups like N.W.A. had the image that they were mad at a lot of shit, but they still were knowledgeable.

There are some groups nowadays that try to portray N.W.A.’s image, (cough), and Dizzy points out that they aren’t like N.W.A., because they ignore the knowledge.

Wouldn’t do it Drake. Those same drugs made the martian retarded LOL

He is also driving a taHOE. What is a ta hoe? You never know what hoes Marshall picks up

“Fuck that nigga that you think you found” Is a reference to Joe Budden. Drake is saying fuck Joe Budden to Royce, who has been doing little subliminal disses to Drake. Joe hasn’t been doing a lot on his own since the formation of Slaughterhouse, hence the “And since you picked up, I know he’s not around”

Joe Budden just tweeted, “So apparently, i just found out that i’m "Marvin” … who knew ? lol"

He just rhymed lemon with lemon. H3LL
