The name “Jehovah” is seen to be the proper name for God. She’s saying to not trust in man but to rather trust in God. Surrender to God for he is truly real.

From personal experience, she’s a pretty scary person. So getting a diss track from her would be menacing.

(My interpretation)
“Him” being the spirit of evil. The spirit of our materialistic world. If we shun this feeling/need of having to be trendy and popular, it won’t be in our stores. “He” is somehow controlling us through the things we decide to buy. If we shun “him” we will be lifted from “his” control.

Lupe Fiasco is a Muslim, so maybe, what he might be trying to say from the line ‘shun him while in public’, in unison to it’s relation with the word ‘store’ in the back of it’s line could be to shun/not buy forbidden items like alcoholic drunks and such from such stores. To ‘disallow him from your stores’ could most probably be to not even allow the selling of of such forbidden items or to shun away the people who support such items. Well that’s my interpretation but yeah, hoped it helped :)

Lupe speaks upon the demons thats are ailing this man. The one’s of materialistic nature. He is stating we shouldnr indulge in his social paradigms he wishes to feed us. If we use our consumer power to not buy all these goods, they will be taken from the stores; simple supply and demand. This also makes a correlation with the “invisible hand” of economics and the invisible presence of demon.

He’s basically saying Shun the man who does not have riches. you have to remember lupe is an artist, he’s not speaking from his own perspective he’s speaking from the perspective of the powers that be and how they separate us from knowledge. you think many people are bums but you might be surprised at how much they actually pity and look down on you for submitting to the rat race. And you’d be surprised to hear how much they actually know about life they can be buhhda like but weve been trained to see them as scum

Sounds like Q is making the rookie mistake of wearing the same clothes when committing crimes. (That way it’s easier for the cops to find you) But, since he changes up the ski-mask, the coppers don’t notice him.

I think it’s also necessary (See what I did there?) to note that the woman on the cover of “Habits and Contradictions” is wearing a ski-mask.

Coppers is also a ski resort in Utah… they sell ski masks

Sounds like Vizzy’s trying to spit game to a girl like this:

And, might I add, rightfully so.

Also, “bad” is a term used by men and recently created to describe a woman as jaw-droppingly beautiful and/or sexy.

Can’t ignore the “comma” he put out. mama bitch, = room to associate the word bitch with every other female?

Coby

I agree you can’t forget the comma however, he’s using it for a very amazing purpose. In the English language when a comma is made after a persons name the next words usually equal that person. For example, My father, Steve, is a Doctor. So here Lupe is saying: My mama, the bitch, is…
– Very impressive lyrics here

He’s specifically talking about one of his hardest songs ever, “Beast Mode”

Now, if people already know what he did on this track, why would they even THINK of messing with him?

Specifically, Laguardia Airport in New York.

And of course, planes go high. So, he’s sticking the middle finger as high as he can to say “fuck the world”.

"Since Rocky spit like André, I'm gonna kill 'em like Big Boi" (A$AP Rocky – Ghetto Symphony) | rejected

Even though Ferg’s verse was pure garbage and he should never compare himself to a legend such as Big Boi.

Also, when you die people (usually) wear all black to your funeral.

"Who is he that we see coming over the tides? / In a speed..." (Child Rebel Soldier – Don't Stop!) | accepted

This line connects to the Jack Sparrow reference in the previous line. Since, in fact, Jack is a pirate who sails over tides. Maybe not in a speed boat, though.

"But we must still pray that his colour will be cured" (Lupe Fiasco – Lamborghini Angels) | pending

This can also be taken in a biblical sense. As in, once God relinquishes the Satan’s control over the Earth. Hence, his “color” (evil) will be cured.
God/Satan also connect to the whole concept of Angels.
Funfact: Satan was an angel himself

"She never let me hit it, she gave me dome twice / She blo..." (Kanye West – I Don't Like) | rejected

“Gave me dome” and “blowing up my phone” link together. Oral is also called giving a blowjob.

"Up, up, down, down, left, right, cheat code" (XV – Wonkavator) | accepted

This is part of the Konami Code (minus the extra “Left, Right, B, A” at the end).

"Love always shines every time I see it" (Lupe Fiasco – The End of the World) | rejected

"Bury my face in comic books, cause I don't want to look /..." (Eminem – Say Goodbye To Hollywood) | accepted

Eminem is using comic books as a form of escapism. He doesn’t want to pay attention to the outside world. He’s too afraid to see what’s lying before him.

"I'm here to palm the fuckin' globe like a basketball" (Royce Da 5'9" – Random Bars) | rejected

You hold a basketball in the palm of your hand

He’s doing the same thing to the globe (Earth/World).

"Acid raps" (Eminem – BET Shady 2.0 Cypher) | accepted

Actually, Esham was an influence to Eminem. Not an enemy.
