About Tyrone Briggs

Tyrone Briggs began to garner national attention in 2014 when his song ‘Spartacus’ from the “Scattered Thoughts” EP was featured on Sirius XM’s Shade 45 by DJ KaySlay & Tony Touch. Unable to ignore his vicious delivery and songwriting ability, hip-hop taste-makers like XXL, Hot 97 Who’s Next, The Source, Respect Magazine and others began to feature his music. In 2015, Briggs opened for Nas and Drake at Irving Plaza during NBA All-Star Weekend, after winning the Sprite “Thirst for the Boroughs” competition and beating out every artist, from every borough in New York City.
Later Tyrone released his next EP, “Victorious”, which included songs like ‘Champion’, ‘Get On Up’, and the title track ‘Victorious’ which have been featured in hundreds of television shows, films, movies and online projects. Numerous brands, networks and professional teams including Reebok, Air Jordan, FOX, ESPN, Cadillac, WWE, Monday Night Football, Heineken, Under Armour, Fan Duel, LG, Riot Games, the Utah Jazz, Saucony, CBS Sports, MTV, WGN, State Farm and more have licensed songs from “Victorious”. In 2018, he was tapped by the world-famous Madison Square Garden arena to star in a series of TV commercials to promote the Big East men’s basketball tournament. Tyrone has had much success from the sync license world after dropping several other projects such as “Underdog”, “The Process”, “The Winner”, “Will of Fire” and “House of Dreams”. All with the traditional inspirational and motivating lyrics over large anthemic instrumentation.
In 2023 Tyrone made a shift from the commercial music and leaned more towards the ‘Scattered Thoughts’ approach with his latest release “Free Samples EP”. Free Samples EP displays witty hardcore lyrics and vivid storytelling over hard hitting boom-bap drums, soulful sample chops and live instrumentation.
Tyrone is planning to release his next LP “Pursuit” later this year and is poised to show the world he is anything but the underdog when it comes to his elite musical talent.
