His girl knows when he’s turned on and needs to be worked out. Whenever he needs love, she automatically calls his phone and asks him to come over to be worked out.

Motorola was the “iPhone” of Rakim’s days. Whoever owned it was well-treated and respected because Motorola wan’t an “anybody phone”.

His skills and rhymes will impress you so much that you start fearing him. He isn’t scaring us with guns or bombs but with his great words, rhymes and flow.

Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden were the most feared terrorists in the last two decades. This means we’ll fear Rakim more than these two terrorists.

Even though he’s in his late 40s, he is still making music and renegading beats here and there.

On September 24, 2013, he released a collaborative single with DMX entitled “Don’t Call Me”.

In 2014, Rakim was featured on the collaborative single with American rock band Linkin Park entitled “Guilty All the Same”. He contributed his rap vocals during the bridge of the main version of the song.

Rakim was born to renegade every beat he raps to. He was born for a reason and it’s to master the ceremony and show other rappers how it’s done.

Rakim doesn’t have time for the people who are hating on him or complaining about his music. His main goal is to feed himself. Let’s not forget that his health is worth more than your hate and complains.

Rakim is one of the greatest MCs to ever hold a mic and rap. His flow, rhymings and words are magical. Especially his rhymes will make you go crazy.

The reason why he is so influential is because he was the first MC to start rhyming compounds extensively and introduced a more advanced flow structure for the time. He was truly a trend-setter and many modern rappers got inspired to rap from listening to Rakim.

Time is money

Rakim’s routines go like this:

  • Work on an album and release it
  • Go on tour
  • After tour, one or two days of sleep
  • Get back to studio
  • Repeat all above

Is it true that Lupe Fiasco wrote this song for Kanye? I heard some rumors about that

Only if J.Cole and King Kendrick would work on an album together….

The way he switched his flow in the 3rd verse was really genius
