Washington-born singer-songwriter Benson Boone is one of the biggest breakout stars of 2024, thanks in part to his smash single “Beautiful Things,” and today marks the release of his debut album, Fireworks & Rollerblades. The 15-track collection includes “Beautiful Things,” as well as the previously released singles “Ghost Town,” “In the Stars,” and “Slow It Down.”
Boone primarily built his audience via TikTok, though he also appeared on American Idol and did well enough to be invited to Hollywood, though he declined the offer. He apparently made that tough decision because he wanted to find himself as an artist before earning a gigantic platform.
“It was a very hard choice,” Boone said in a press release. “I didn’t really know who I wanted to be as an artist yet, and I didn’t want to show the world someone I’m not.”
