Back in 2022, Kali Uchis announced that she’d finished her third and fourth studio albums. One was written mostly in Spanish, she said, the other largely English. Last year, the Colombian American singer-songwriter dropped Red Moon In Venus, her English LP, and today we get the follow-up, ORQUÍDEAS, whose title is Spanish for “orchids.”
Uchis previewed ORQUÍDEAS with three singles: “Muñekita,” featuring Dominican rapper El Alfa and JT from the Miami hip-hop duo City Girls; “Te Mata”; and “Labios Mordidos,” featuring Colombian superstar KAROL G.
Other guests on the 14-track album include Mexican singer Peso Pluma and Puerto Rican reggaeton boundary pusher Rauw Alejandro.
