Former BROCKHAMPTON leader Kevin Abstract returns today with Blanket, his fourth studio album and first since 2019’s Arizona Baby. Produced by Abstract’s ex-bandmate Romil Hemnani, Blanket reveals a wide range of influences, including ’90s emo and indie-rock.
“I wanted to make, like, a Sunny Day Real Estate, Nirvana, Modest Mouse type of record,” said Abstract said in a statement. “But I wanted it to hit like a rap album.”
Blanket includes the previously released singles “Blanket,” “What Should I Do?”, “Running Out,” and “Madonna.”
