A behind-the-scenes look at the music video, which was filmed across three continents.

Latin music superstar Maluma has partnered with Google Chrome and the McLaren Formula 1 Team for an exciting collaboration involving the creation of an original song and corresponding music video, which was filmed across three continents in the span of a week.

The track, a reggaeton party anthem called “Pit Stop,” features the sound of a revving McLaren F1 car’s engine, and the interactive music video features comedic actor Adrian Martinez playing the role of Maluma’s driver, Luis, who winds up taking his boss’s place at a series of events around Miami.

Genius breaks down the creation of “Pit Stop” in a brand-new behind-the-scenes video. Created in partnership with Google Chrome and hosted by Miami-based journalist and content creator Grecia Lopez, our making-of video includes loads of on-set footage and an interview with director Quentin Deronzier, who’s worked with the likes of The Weeknd and Doja Cat. Deronzier explains how the fish-out-of-water concept involving Luis came about, and he discusses why he loved shooting in Miami.
