PRESENTED BY

Learn about the song’s lyrics on the latest episode of ‘Verified.’

Legendary producer, rapper, and singer Wyclef has partnered with TIAA on their Retire Inequality campaign, which aims to address the fact that 54% of Black Americans don’t have enough savings to maintain their standard of living after they retire. Wyclef is using music to get young people interested in investing and planning for their futures, and he’s doing so via “Paper Right,” a new song featuring Pusha T, Lola Brooke, Capella Grey, and Flau'jae.

On the latest episode of Verified, Wyclef breaks down the meaning of the track. “The idea was to take a song [about] how we celebrate our success—to say, ‘I got my paper right, let me help you get your paper right,’” Wyclef says.
