About “Troublesome ’21”

On December 10th, 2021, an original Interscope Record’s cassette tape containing the original contents of the scrapped “Troublesome ‘21” album was sold to an unknown buyer for $3,000 USD.

At the start of 2022, 30 years after it’s initial conception. The DAT files for the “Troublesome ’21” album was leaked. Most of its contents have just recently started to appear on the internet. Here is a link containing the songs from the leaked DAT files.

If Time Warner (which had ties with Interscope at the time) hadn’t refused to release it, this CD would’ve been 2Pac’s second official studio album.

According to 2paclegacy.net:

At the beginning of 1992 2Pac starts to prepare his second official album, which was originally supposed to be called “Black Starry Night”. As the recording process went on over the next few months, 2Pac decided to change the name to “Troublesome ’21”. “Troublesome ’21” was scrapped by Time Warner due to the outcry in the media and political legislatures over such lyrics. There are a total of 7 songs, which were not on commercial release, including ‘'Troublesome’‘ (unreleased), ’‘I Wonder If Heaven Got A Ghetto’‘(released on R. U. Still Down?, 1997), Don’t Call Me Bitch (unreleased), What Goes On (unreleased) , Crooked Nigga Too (released on ’‘Loyal To The Game’‘, 2004), Still Don’t Give A Fuck (unreleased), Nothing But Love (released on ’‘I Get Around’‘ Single, 1993 and R. U. Still Down?, 1997). A truly historical piece of Pac memorabilia due to the fact these are never released or heard songs due to the lyrics being controversial at the time.

The album was produced by Stretch, Big D the Impossible, Truman Jefferson, Laylaw, D-Flow Production Squad, Shock G, & 50 Niggaz Productionz.
