Spirit World Field Guide Tracklist
Spirit World Field Guide is Aesop’s 8th studio album, released November 13th, 2020. Just like the album title suggests, the album was advertised as being a field guide and was sold alongside survival equipment like a flint kit, canteen, and pocket knife.
Aesop Rock first teased the album with a series of cryptic Instagram posts on September 6th, 2020. The posts progressively became less cryptic with a “Transmissions from the Spirit World”, preorders for the album, and its debut single, “The Gates” coming out on September 9th.
Another single, titled Pizza Alley, was released October 16th, 2020. The album was officially released almost a month later, breaking a nearly 4 year silence regarding Aesop’s solo albums.
