The second album by Phoenix based folk punk group Andrew Jackson Jihad was released on September 11, 2007. It is a suitably dark mash up of genres, with music so interesting and clever that the lyrics come as a cold shock. They ramble and range from the dark and disturbing to the clever and fun to the heartbreaking. It is an album filled with existential dread, self hatred and madness, simultaneously an easy listen and something that you need to recover from.
