Released in 1991, Blur’s debut record, compared to their later releases, is often not held as one of the best in their discography. Lead singer Damon Albarn himself has stated that he’s come out with two bad albums, this and 1995’s The Great Escape.

The album, despite the mixed reviews, featured the band’s first top 10 single in the UK with “There’s No Other Way” and also peaked at number 5 on the Rock Charts in the U.S.
