The Special Collectors Edition

Blur

About “The Special Collectors Edition ”

The Special Collector’s Edition is a collection containing B-Sides of singles from Leisure, Modern Life Is Rubbish, and Parklife— the first three albums released by Blur. The last track however is not a B-Side, but a recording of fans playing kazoos to the tune of Parklife track “Bank Holiday” at Narita Airport, Tokyo.

It was released only in Japan on October 26th, 1994, six months after the release of the highly successful Parklife. It was met with mediocre critical reception, receiving a 5/10 from Allmusic staff- while user ratings were quite the opposite, giving the release at a cool 4.5/5.
