CARCASS (СКЕЛЕТ)

CARCASS (СКЕЛЕТ) is Bones' 6th project of 2017, released about a week until the end of the year, on December 23rd.

The album was announced on December 17, 2017 along with the release date. The rapper didn’t give any other information about the project prior to it’s release. Many fans believed it to be his highly anticipated collaborative album with his friend Xavier Wulf titled Krater’s Atlas, however, that was not the case.

CARCASS (СКЕЛЕТ) does not deviate from Bones' unusual way of naming tracks without spaces. However, on this project each track name has its exact Russian translation in brackets. The album name itself also follows this pattern, but the translation is not accurate as the Russian word written means “skeleton”, not “carcass”.

With such formatting Bones is most likely showing his appreciation for his Russian fans. While it’s unknown if Russia has the biggest non-American community of Bones' fans, his Russian supporters are definitely the most vocal. Whenever the rapper posts something on social media, the comment section gets flooded with replies by Russian fans.

Bones has shown his gratitude to his Russian fanbase in many other ways too. His posts on Instagram and Twitter sometimes contain Russian words. TeamSESH (his creative association) also released multiple merchandise items with Russian words on them, namely the T-shirt with the translated name and tracklist of FAILURE, an album Bones released in September 2017.
