BONES’s “SCUMBAG,” unveiled in 2013, stands as his 8th mixtape and 5th full-length project of that year. Released on August 18, 2013, the 19-track mixtape includes the early hit “Dirt.” Within the thematic depths of depression and stagnation, BONES crafts a vivid portrayal of a ghoulish figure navigating life’s fringes, armed with a blade, and immersed in drug peddling.

The production, featuring beats from notable names like GREAF, HNRK, Curtis Heron, and others, culminates in a creatively rich cloud rap album. Recognized as a seminal release in the underground scene, “SCUMBAG” is often hailed as “proto emo-rap,” influencing artists like Lil Peep.

“SCUMBAG” stands out as a unique BONES project, being among the few to receive a physical release—a limited edition cassette of 100 copies from Sleepcvlt. Furthermore, BONES received 300 additional copies, which he distributed on tour.
