Sit Down, Man

Sit Down, Man is the second mixtape by Das Racist, released on September 14, 2010 by their own Greedhead label as well as Mishka NYC and Mad Decent. Following the success of their debut mixtape Shut Up, Dude, the trio was able to snag features from underground legend El-P and production from Diplo, Scoop DeVille, and 2013 MacArthur Fellow Vijay Iyer. The lyrics are hyper-referential and irreverent while simultaneously paying homage to and subverting traditional hip-hop norms. Sit Down, Man received greater acclaim than Shut Up, Dude and featured on multiple end-of-year lists.
