About “Year of the Snitch”

Year of the Snitch is Death Grips' sixth album, released on June 22nd, 2018, as a follow up to their 2016 release Bottomless Pit.

The group first announced they were working on a new album on May 22, 2017, when they released the “Steroids (Crouching Tiger Hidden Gabber)” mix. Leading up to the release, they announced they were working with various collaborators, including film director Andrew Adamson and Tool bassist Justin Chancellor.

On March 22, 2018, the group announced that their album would be titled Year of the Snitch, and released the album art via their website, Third Worlds.

On April 11, the group teased the album tracklist on their YouTube account, with an accompanying video featuring various visuals shot with an iPhone.

In anticipation of the album, the band released the songs “Streaky,” “Black Paint,” “Flies,” “Hahaha,” “Dilemma,” “Shitshow,” and “Death Grips Is Online.” All the songs, except “Hahaha,” inlcuded music videos, and were released from the band’s Twitter account.
