Fate

About “Fate”

The fifth album from indie rock group Dr. Dog, “Fate” has one recurring theme throughout its track list: a moving train. It appears in song transitions, in lyrics, and it interrupts the final moments of the album to carry the whole thing away. Some lyrics throughout the album reference the need to let things happen in your life and to stop fighting them. The train may be a sign of everything moving on, with or without you wanting it to. Overall, the album discusses the unpredictability of fate. Notably, the final track, “My Friend,” features a medley of previous songs carried away suddenly by a train.

“Drop Me Off” was an exclusive iTunes bonus track.
