Savage (Remastered)

Eurythmics

About “Savage (Remastered)”

After the commercial hights they’ve experienced since Sweet Dreams and the more mainstream sounding albums the the previous one, Revenge, the Eurythmics take a turn “sharp left” as Dave put it, with this album released along with a VHS featuring videos, mostly directed by Sophie Muller, for all 12 songs. It is the duo’s personal favorite though it did not succeed as well as their other outings. The lyrics were inspired by Annie’s recent break up with her then husband. While the arrengement was done by Dave Stewart himself using a Synclavier digital sampling keyboard programmed by Olle Moro who also played drums in some of the songs. The songs were recorded and mixed in France.
