200 Motels is the soundtrack to the film of the same name, in which the Mothers of Invention go crazy in the small town of Centerville, and their bassist, Jeff (a parody of actual Mothers bassist Jeff Simmons) going crazy due to marijuana and leaving the band (which the actual Jeff did shortly before the film’s production).
