One of Zappa’s most enduringly popular albums, Apostrophe (‘) was recorded by some of the most talented players Zappa ever used: George Duke, the Fowler brothers, Ian Underwood, Ruth Underwood, Napoleon Murphy Brock, and Jean Luc Ponty, just to name a few. The record also featured some excellent (if uncredited) backing vocals from Tina Turner and the Ikettes.
