In The Name of Gee

In The Name of Gee is Fredo Bang’s follow-up project to his April 2020 album, Most Hated.

The title of the album is a tribute to Fredo’s late friend, Da Real Gee Money, that was shot multiple times in the parking lot while leaving the studio in Baton Rogue, Louisiana on a 2017 Sunday morning.

Gee Money has been mentioned numerous times in Fredo Bang’s songs, and even has a song titled, “In The Name of Gee” on his debut album, “2 Face Bang.”

The album was first teased via Instagram with a snippet of a song on the album with the caption:

Otw 🦍🙌🏾 #InTheNameOfGee #Album

The album was also teased via Twitter on the same day.

The album’s lead single, “Receipts” was released on June 19, 2020.

The release date of the project was confirmed to be September 11, 2020, via Fredo’s Instagram story. Alongside the release date, the story also played a snippet of a song that’s to be on the album.
